I grew up in Ward 2. I was baptized at St. Lawrence Church in the North End, made my first communion at St. Mary’s, and delivered the Globe and Mail along Duke and Robinson streets at 4:30-5:00 in the morning before most of the city was awake. I still have friends and family here. This ward shaped me, and that doesn’t go away.
My career was in logistics and transportation — from driving a truck to leading Canadian operations for a major international carrier. After September 11th, I helped develop the trade and security frameworks that still govern every commercial shipment crossing the Canada-U.S.-Mexico borders today. I know how to get things done under pressure, with real consequences.
I’ve been politically engaged at all three levels of government since I was twelve. I served on Hamilton’s Status of Women Subcommittee and was a founding member of the Mayor’s Race Relations Committee. I volunteered with the Victim Services Branch of the Hamilton Police Service for almost five years. In 2025, I completed a Certificate in Labour Studies at McMaster — because good representation requires keeping your knowledge up to date.
I am Métis, with roots in the Red River area of Manitoba, and was elected as a Councillor at Large with the Clearwater Council of the Métis Nation of Ontario.
Ward 2 deserves practical, accountable governance — safer streets, infrastructure money spent on infrastructure, and housing that actually gets built. Not ideology. Not politics as usual. A councillor who answers to the people of Ward 2.
