Responsible Realistic Reform #HamOnt
Hamilton needs a councillor responsible to the people of Ward 14, the citizens of Hamilton and not large corporations whose motives may not have Hamiltonians as their first priority. We need someone to be accountable for their attendance and voting records. We need someone willing to be answerable to the people, who want to meet with them whenever needed, not when they need something from the people.
A campaign is often full of promises; the question is, how many of the promises made will be realistic? We need to have a councillor willing to be held
accountable for the promises made. That includes updating and following through with those promises by reporting back to the people of Ward 14 on the results.
We need a councillor who understands that the present way of doing business is no longer an option. It is in the city’s best interest to have someone willing to make the necessary changes to the council so that the deadlocks, arguments and lack of cooperation between council members and staff don't continue. We need a councillor who is willing to reform the process of committee meetings and the lack of accountability. We need a councillor willing to look at all city departments with an eye to improving them, ensuring all the people of Hamilton the quality of service they deserve.
The date is approaching to give the City of Hamilton new hope!
Today it's official- I announce my candidacy for the position of Councillor in Ward 14!
Policy will be released over the course of the campaign, please sign up to get updates as they are added.
